RealSantas.com is please to celebrate it's sixth year of providing 'real
bearded' Santas for special events, parties and promotions. During
this time we have made over 2,000 bookings and have an extensive list of
pleased clients. Our mission is to supply qualified, real bearded Santas to bring joy, happiness and entertainment to children, families and
corporations all across America.
This year, 2007, marks a time for some special changes in how our
company operates and manages our business. This year we
have upgraded our computers (We hope the Window's Vista won't be a problem) and booking software in order to do a better
job of serving both our clients and the Santas that we hire. We have also implemented a new level of certification for our Santas
that includes background checks.
All of our Santas are now be required to pass an
annual background check
prior to being confirmed for any booking or event. To insure that the
background check information is 'Fresh,' we do nor require the background
check be done until October 1, or four weeks prior to the first day of work. These background
checks will be processed through
Employment Screening Resources, (ESR).
The background checks will included checking
and confirmation of identity and will include a review of public records including criminal
records, sexual offender databases, information concerning wants and
warrants and identity related information that may be obtained from
municipal, county, state and federal agencies and courts and private
companies. There will be no financial or credit background check.
Drug testing and/or fingerprint checks may be requested, but will be at the
expense of a client, if requested or required for employment or booking.
The basic cost for a background
check through ESR is just $39.00, plus any local, county or state fees for
your jurisdiction. This fee will be paid
by the Santa.

We understand that some Santas do have their own local background checks,
but we have found there is a need to have a consistent, national standard
that is the same, across the board, for all of the Santas we represent and
supply to our clients.
As in past years, we will continue to require that all Santas have proof of
Entertainer's Liability Insurance with a minimum of $1 million per
occurrence. For your convenience we have a link on this page to K&K
insurance for obtaining this insurance. You can also obtain your
insurance through other associations and sources. All we require is
proof of coverage.

There
is no cost to be listed on this site, other than those listed above.
We also ask that you contact us prior to September 1 if you are interested
in being listed on our site. And remember, RealSantas.com has a commitment to
our clients and guarantee that we will supply them with quality “real” Santas.
We
prefer Santas with the following:
- Have
at least two years professional experience.

Have current certification of a third party background check via ESR. (This is not just a local police report. It
is a third party investigation of your background.)
- Have
at least three quality “Santa” references from paid Santa jobs.
- Have
a full suit with real boots, belt, etc.
- Have
reliable transportation (for local work). (We will only book you for parties
and events in those cities that you want to work in. Our clients generally
do not pay for mileage or driving time unless agreed upon in advance.)
- Have entertainers liability insurance. It is for your protection.
(Annual insurance policies can be obtained for as low as $200 a year.)

RealSantas.com is an entertainment booking service, not a theatrical agent.
You can still be listed on other sites and listed with other talent
companies.
We
specialize in private and corporate parties with the emphasis on single
one-time events. We do get requests for Mall positions, but the major
mall photo companies usually handle their own hiring.
The
events we book are spread throughout the United States and Canada with
concentrations in Major Cities. Most of the clients contacting us are
looking for quality, professional, Real Bearded Santas, in good costumes with
real boots, etc. Clients are often looking for someone close by. Once in a
while they will pay for mileage, but only on rare occasions.
Our
company, and our clients generally require you to have had experience in
appearing for company, organization and community parties and know how to
work on your own. We also get a few bookings for Family parties, but
generally these bookings are better done locally.
Because the requests for Santa are very special as to
the event or date, We have created two separate divisions to handle these
requests. Sometimes we need Santa’s who have made it to the Major League, so
to speak. These are the gentlemen who can make a big entrance and know how to talk
to a big crowd. Or maybe a Santa who can sing or has other talents. If this
is you, let us know. We do have

To
better help us supply Santa’s for our clients, we need you to answer a few
questions. This information is strictly confidential and is only for use in
helping us find work for you.

the information you and other Santa’s supply we compile a schedule that
shows us what Santa’s are available and when.
