Liability Insurance for Santas, Mrs. Claus and Helpers

Today's Santa is actually a member of a much larger industry of party entertainers.  Over the past thirty years it has become more and more important that you protect not only yourself but your clients in case of an accident.  Entertainer's liability insurance is now required by almost every commercial venue where you might work.  and for your own protection you should also have it for those private parties and social events you attend.  Even if it is a non-profit or not-for-profit event you need to protect yourself, should an accident happen.  Even if you are not a party to an accident, someone may try to include you in their claims following an accident.

RealSantas.com requires that every Santa and entertainer that we employ, or refer to a client, carry a minimum $1-million in liability insurance.  A certificate of insurance must be sent to RealSantas.com as a named insured.  Sometimes a client will also require a certificate being listed as a named insured.  Make sure your carrier will supply that for you. .

The following companies offer policies to protect you and in some cases extend the coverage to your spouse, a helper and even offer various additional coverage.  You can also obtain your insurance through other associations and sources.  All we require is proof of coverage. We will not recommend one insurance company over another, but do know that each of the companies listed below is a quality rated company and that hundreds of Santas, and other entertainers depend on them for insurance against any possible problems.

Should you have any question on these insurance carriers, please contact them direct.  I am not an underwriter and really cannot answer any of your questions.
